Hello everyone, I just read in the Chesterton trib that Mike Granger has passed away.  In first grade Mike was one of the first kids to befriend me at St Pat's .  One of the things I remember him for, is he told MR. Justack that a few other kids had put soap in the teachers coffee pot.  All those fellas got in a lot of trouble for that and Mike took a lot crap from his peers and lost some friends over it.

Over the years, I've often thought about what he did, and I could never figure out why he would rat his friends out knowing what the consequences would be for doing so--I didn't fully understand his actions until I had children of my own. When confronted with a wrong I hope my children will show that same kind of courage and integrity Mike showed those many years ago at St Patricks.

God rest peace Mike

Hi everyone, Many may not know Nancy Wilmsen (Berube) my beloved wife of twenty-three years pasted away January 3, 2008. We married in 1984, the year after she graduated from Goshen College. We have six wonderful children and are living in Chesterton again. We had twenty-three years of happiness. Nancy got breast cancer three years ago she fought it with every thing she had but in the end she lost. My grief has been intense, but I have the very real hope that she  will greet me at gates of heaven, when my time here is done. At the end, She asked me " Can I go now? I want to go see Jesus ." I said ,"Yes my love you've suffered enough, you go enter the rest Jesus has prepared for you." An hour later she said "I have go now, will you and the children be alright?" Once again I lied and said "We will be fine you go my love, go to Jesus." Pastor Mike says"One out one people will die some time in their life." We only have to die once, if we put our trust in Jesus, who paid for our place in heaven with His blood on the cross.
Choose life, choose Jesus.                                                                   Bless you all,
                                                                                                          Carl Wilmsen
